Makis Tselios

Makis Tselios is not just a fashion designer but a true artist from the legendary Ionian Islands. Born on the island of Ithaki, at seven years of age his family moved to the mainland seaport of Piraeus where he grew up, and by the age of 25 he decided to follow his creativity and work in fashion.

He has paved his own path through innovative designs and unprecedented fashion shows which, for the first time in Greece, featured international models. Some of his distinguished achievements are the uniforms he designed for Olympic Airlines in 1980, his collaboration with Neiman-Marcus in 1983, and the women’s uniforms he designed for the Greek Olympic teams for the 1984 Games in Los Angeles. At his atelier, Tselios designs a collection of haute couture and wedding dresses. He is also very productive in all sorts of creative endeavors, such as:

  • A unique line of menswear called “Makis Tselios Homme”.
  • Ties for men, called “MAKIS TSELIOS cravates” and a line of classic shirts.
  • A home wear collection called “Makis Tselios Home” with sheets and towels bearing the designer’s personal style.
  • The “Makis Tselios Baby” baptism line and the “Μakis Tselios wedding accessories” line.

Many companies such as airlines, sealines, tourist companies etc. have assigned the design and creation of their personnel’s costumes to the MAKIS TSELIOS FIRM. The collection that MAKIS TSELIOS designs can be found in 350 shops in Greece and 200 abroad. The designer presents his collections twice a year while constantly pursuing new creative endeavors.
